Day #2 – Girly and Feminine

For yesterday’s outfit, I channeled a sophisticated and chic look, today I went for girly and feminine. Assuming my course load for the week isn’t too heavy, I’m hoping (cross your fingers!) that I can blog about my outfits this entire week. If not, then I’ll be a day or two behind…so be it! In a lot of ways, today’s ensemble captures my personal style down to a tee. Pleats, ruffles and oxfords are three of my current fashion obsessions. In place of my usual cardigan, I threw on a brown blazer for a more pulled-together and sophisticated look.

Say yes to pleats! Right now I am obsessed with pleated skirts. When I came across this one at Delias, I was beyond delighted. On sale for $9.99, it’s a true wardrobe staple. Made in the USA, the quality and construction of the skirt’s accordion style pleats are impressive. Although Delias isn’t typically known for carrying the most elegant clothing (more like T-shirts and basics), every so often they surprise you with fashionable pieces. In the approaching months, I will be on the hunt for more pleated skirts, especially long ones. I can’t wait to pair them with tights and oxford shoes!

Oh my goodness, these shoes are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Comfy, cute and casual, this pair of Bloch Hannah oxfords is phenomenal. I purchased them earlier this summer at Eloise, my favorite boutique located downtown Charlottesville. The day that I was there, they were marked 75% off (lucky me!). The first time I tried them on, I knew they were meant to be. Did I mention how COMFY these are? I could walk miles in them.

I showed you the shoes, now I must show you the box. Ever since I purchased these, I’ve been meaning to blog about this fabulous shoe box (and the shoes inside). I love the pale pink and minimalist design. BLOCH really does say it all.

Ta-da! The first time that I opened this BLOCH shoe box, I was in love. Yes, I was psyched to see the beyond adorable pair of shoes waiting inside, but I was also excited when the inside revealed an image of a ballerina. As a brand that is known for selling ballet shoes, what else would you expect? This is one shoe box that I will never throw away!

Yesterday I showcased a black and gold bangle from Earrings Plaza, today I want to share a ring that I recently purchased from the store. Over-the-top in the best possible way, this bauble is a true statement ring. With a large amethyst stone in the middle, it is adorned with intricate flowers on the sides. Oh, and a bumble bee and firefly also just happen to be in the mix!

Close-up images of the side details found on the ring. As a ring connoisseur, I knew that I HAD to have this. Luckily, it only cost $6 (hard to believe I know!). Doesn’t the eclectic and whimsical design remind you of jewelry from Juicy Couture?

Which did you like better, yesterday or today’s outfit?

Do you own a pair of BLOCH shoes? Aren’t they fabulous?!
