Day #3 – A Long Cardi and Blossoming Tee

So, as I predicted, I am a tad behind on blogging about my ensembles from last week. If only I hadn’t taken so many naps, then maybe I’d be all caught up by now. Not to fear though… I’m catching up! On Wednesday, I channeled my girly side yet again.

Nothing says femininity more than a romantic color palette, chiffon flowers and charming flats. The basis of my ensemble, a white skirt with crocheted detailing, is simply divine. Airy and light, white skirts such as this one are essential for summer. Whenever looking to create a completely girly outfit, the two colors that I am instantly drawn to are pale pink and white. (Never hot pink – it reminds me too much of Barbie!) That being said, I knew right away that this gorgeous pink top would be perfect. Adorned with oh-so pretty flowers, it served as the focal point of my ensemble. To complete the look, I threw on a long taupe cardigan. Young, effortless and girly, I really enjoyed wearing this.

Cardigan from Peek and Cloppenburg, top from Vera Moda, skirt from Express

How lovely is this shirt? A sucker for anything adorned with flowers, this top was love at first sight. While shopping in Vienna at a store called Vera Moda, I saw it hanging on a rack and thought that is was beyond adorable. The combination of pale pink, teal and rose pink is so alluring. Always on the lookout for unique pieces, something about the design and color palette seemed extra special. Feminine and quirky, it was meant for me.

Shoes by Dolce VitaSparkles galore! Never one to turn away shoes, pretty bows, or anything sparkly, the moment I saw this pair of flats I was sold. Cute and comfy, they are ideal for trekking across campus. After a full day of walking, I am happy to report that my feet weren’t sore! Yay! Whether paired with jeans, a pleated skirt or a LBD, the nude color makes them conventional for a number of ensembles.

Photo op of the day: My brown leather Kate Spade bag and flats look so quaint sitting in the windowsill, don’t they?

What did you think of my outfit?

What’s your summer wardrobe staple?
